The position will develop strategies to build and consolidate a team, ensure NFSA Enterprises meet client objectives, and uses product knowledge and sector experience to generate new business and retain existing customers.

Key responsibilities

• The Access and Business Development Manager is a leadership role responsible for managing a team of up to ten people with a focus on three key areas: team cohesion, client relationships, and innovative solutions that drive revenue.
• Lead, develop, promote and support the day-to-day functions of the Archive Sales & Loan team and manage workflows and processes to provide excellent customer service outcomes.
• Develop and implement access-related policies and procedures in response to changing expectations of NFSA client groups including the production and recording sectors, cultural institutions and academic researchers.
• Provide high level written and oral advice relating to the work of the Archive Sales and Loans team and the Enterprises section.

• Demonstrated leadership skills and experience, including the ability to manage change effectively, fostering a positive and inclusive culture and ensuring collaboration amongst a high-performing team.
• Demonstrated experience in an archive footage sales or commercial media role—supported by a strong understanding of archive and production processes—delivering exceptional client access services and navigating copyright and rights management.
• Demonstrated commercial acumen and experience developing and implementing sales and business growth strategies, including identifying market opportunities, driving revenue growth and aligning services with customer needs and expectations.
