Job summary

The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) is seeking an Academic Post Program Lead to drive the end-to-end delivery of the program, oversee stakeholder relationships, contracts and funding, and coordinate a national education and support initiative for GPs in training.

You will work with universities, registrars and internal teams to strengthen research and education capabilities across general practice, with a focus on improving outcomes and workforce development.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering complex programs, grants, projects or education initiatives from planning through to evaluation.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, contract management and relationship-building skills across diverse groups.
• Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to manage competing priorities.
• An understanding of research, education or healthcare environments, with a commitment to continuous improvement and positive outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of the Academic Post Program, including promotion, applications, selection processes and funding administration.
• Manage relationships, contracts and program activities with universities, registrars, presenters and key internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate and facilitate a national education and support program that builds research and teaching capability in GPs in training.
• Evaluate and continuously improve program outcomes, using insights and stakeholder feedback to enhance the future GP workforce.

• Full Time, 12-Month Fixed Term opportunity, maternity leave cover

About the opportunity

As the Academic Post Program Lead, you'll lead the end-to-end delivery of the RACGP Academic Post Program, managing program operations, stakeholder relationships, contracts, funding and educational activities. Reporting to the Senior Education Researcher, you'll collaborate with universities, registrars and internal teams to strengthen research and education capability across general practice.

You’ll also:

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of the Academic Post Program, including promotion, applications, selection processes and funding administration.


• Manage relationships, contracts and program activities with universities, registrars, presenters and key internal stakeholders.
