Job summary

Powerhouse Wiring Solutions in Port Hedland is seeking an experienced HVAC technician for FIFO work across government and educational sites. The role covers service, maintenance and installation of commercial HVAC systems.

The ideal candidate is trade-qualified with strong fault-finding skills, experience with packaged units, Daikin VRV and central plant. Residential or light commercial experience is welcome, with willingness to upskill.

• Trade-qualified Air Conditioning/Refrigeration Mechanic with commercial HVAC background preferred.
• Strong fault-finding skills essential.
• Residential/light commercial experience + willingness to upskill also considered.

Responsibilities

• Deliver commercial HVAC service, maintenance and installation across sites in Port Hedland and South Hedland.
• Work on packaged units, Daikin VRV and central plant systems.
• Support FIFO roster with reliable on-site service delivery.

Job description

AC Technician (HVAC) | Port Hedland FIFO | $70–$80 per hour

Opportunity: Deliver commercial HVAC service, maintenance and installation across schools, TAFE, courts, police, emergency services and government sites in Port & South Hedland.

Experience: Trade-qualified Air Conditioning/Refrigeration Mechanic with commercial HVAC background preferred (packaged units, Daikin VRV, chilled water/central plant). Strong fault-finding skills essential. Residential/light commercial experience + willingness to upskill also considered.

Benefits: $70–$80/hr + super | Flexible 2–3 week / ad-hoc FIFO roster | Return flights, donga accommodation + meals, company vehicle + fuel card and major tooling provided.
