Job summary

Dubbo Health Service is seeking an Aboriginal Health Worker – Transition to Practice to deliver high quality culturally competent care for Aboriginal patients. You will work toward registration with AHPRA as an Aboriginal Health Practitioner and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal health outcomes.

The role reports to the Aboriginal Health Unit Manager within the Western NSW Local Health District and offers a permanent full-time position in Dubbo, NSW.

Qualifications

• Provide high quality culturally comprehensive services to Aboriginal patients.
• Work towards meeting registration requirements with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as an Aboriginal Health Practitioner.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to improve patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide culturally appropriate health care and education to patients and communities.
• Liaise with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate care and services.
• Support Aboriginal Health Unit activities and staff development.
