Yadu Health Aboriginal Corporation invites applications for Aboriginal Health Worker Trainees to join the Primary Health Care team. This traineeship offers practical experience while you work toward a recognised qualification in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care.

You will work with experienced health professionals to deliver culturally safe care to communities, supported by supervision, mentoring and workplace training.

Competenze

• Identifies as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander (desirable).
• Interest in Aboriginal health, community wellbeing and outcomes.
• Willing to undertake a recognised qualification in Aboriginal health care as part of the traineeship.
• Commitment to learning and participating in training.
• Strong understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures.

• Support clients to access culturally safe primary health care and services.
• Assist experienced health workers with client care, checks and health promotion.
• Help clients understand and navigate health services and supports.
• Assist with health education and activities promoting healthy lifestyles.
