Job summary

Tresillian is seeking an Aboriginal Services and Community Relations Coordinator to lead Aboriginal Health Workers and support services for families with children aged 0-3. The role includes cultural leadership, supervision, a clinical component, and liaison with Local Health District Aboriginal Health staff.

Applicants must be Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander, hold a relevant health qualification, and have strong communication and partnership-building skills; travel and WWCC are

Qualifications

• Must be of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent and able to liaise with Indigenous communities.
• Tertiary degree in health promotion, public health or clinical discipline.
• Proven ability to plan and evaluate health promotion activities.
• Strong organisational skills with competing priorities.
• Develop partnerships across health services for quality improvement.
• Clinical supervision and leadership of Aboriginal Health Workers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; proficient with recording systems.
• Current driver’s license and ability to travel.

Responsibilities

• Provide cultural leadership and supervision of Aboriginal Health Workers.
• Deliver clinical components including screening and preventative care as required.
• Liaise with Local Health District Aboriginal Health staff and directorates.
• Build partnerships with communities and health services to improve outcomes.
