Job summary

TAFE NSW External seeks a Teacher of Aboriginal Health (Identified) to lead engaging learning at Campbelltown or Nepean (Kingswood) Campus. The role involves delivering programs that prepare students for Aboriginal/ Torres Strait Islander health careers, drawing on industry experience to develop clinical and professional skills.

The position is permanent full-time with travel required across Western Sydney, including Blacktown and Westmead hospitals, to meet operational and community needs.

Qualifications

• Aboriginality is a genuine occupational qualification for interview consideration.
• Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent required.
• AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse is essential.
• Evidence of teaching qualifications for Vocational Education and Training is required.
• Minimum of three years post-qualification experience in the healthcare industry.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging learning experiences and programs for Aboriginal/ Torres Strait Islander health students.
• Coordinate across Campbelltown or Nepean (Kingswood) Campus locations with travel across Western Sydney.
• Foster culturally safe, community-focused healthcare education and clinical skills development.
• Support students to achieve their learning goals and progress toward becoming Health Practitioners.
