Job summary

Aboriginal Health Council of Western Australia is seeking an Aboriginal Graphic Designer to bring stories, data, programs, and community health initiatives to life through high‑quality digital and print design.

The role offers genuine flexibility with part-time or full-time hours and the chance to shape the organisation’s visual identity while ensuring materials are culturally grounded, accessible and engaging across WA.

Qualifications

• Qualification in graphic design, multimedia, or related field.
• Minimum 1 year of graphic design experience.
• Strong illustration ability, creativity, and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Acrobat, Illustrator, InDesign) and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with web-based content management systems.
• Solid time-management skills and ability to juggle deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills across teams and external stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to uphold cultural safety with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Responsibilities

• Shape the organisation’s visual identity with culturally grounded design.
• Create promotional, educational, and event materials.
• Produce annual reports, newsletters, e-bulletins and other print/digital content.
• Design brochures, flyers, booklets, intranet and website visuals.
