Job summary

VIC Department of Justice and Community Safety – Melbourne VIC is seeking an Aboriginal Case Manager to support rehabilitation of clients across South Morang and Reservoir. This ongoing, full-time role will manage court-ordered clients, perform risk assessments, and deliver culturally sensitive interventions, with a focus on Aboriginal communities.

You will develop and implement cultural support plans, work with Aboriginal justice networks, and may provide advice to the Koori Court.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with members of the Victorian Aboriginal Community.
• Ability to engage with local support services and the Koori Court in case management.
• Understanding of the Victorian Aboriginal Community and associated issues.

Responsibilities

• Manage Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal clients on court orders; conduct risk assessments and prepare case plans.
• Provide interventions and address underlying causes of offending; support completion of orders.
• Develop and implement cultural support plans; liaise with Aboriginal justice networks to strengthen outcomes.
