Job summary

Barwon Power Solutions is looking for a full-time A Grade Electrician to join our Geelong team. You’ll run your own jobs from start to finish across domestic, real estate, commercial and light industrial projects, including some HVAC work, around Geelong and the surrounding region.

You’ll operate with ownership, have input into how the work gets done, and grow with a locally owned electrical contractor that values reliability, safety and high-quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• Current driver's licence or equivalent.
• Basic fault finding and problem solving.
• Ability to work independently and manage your day.
• Neat, compliant work with attention to detail.
• Commitment to safety and professional conduct.
• Good communication and customer service for clients.
• Experience in domestic and real estate settings preferred.
• Experience installing split system air conditioners is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, maintain and upgrade electrical systems including switchboards.
• Fault find and fix issues across equipment and systems.
• Ensure compliance with AS/NZS 3000 and Victorian safety requirements; complete paperwork.
• Keep job notes, photos and timesheets up to date.
• Interact with tenants, property managers and homeowners professionally.

About the role

We're looking for a full-time A Grade Electrician to join our Geelong team. You'll work across domestic, real estate, commercial and light industrial jobs, plus some HVAC work, all around Geelong and the surrounding region.

What you'll be doing

• Electrical installations, repairs, maintenance and upgrades, including switchboards
• Fault finding and fixing problems across a wide range of equipment and systems
• Making sure all work meets AS/NZS 3000 and Victorian safety requirements, including completing your own compliance paperwork
• Keeping job notes, photos and timesheets up to date
• Dealing directly with tenants, property managers and homeowners in a professional, friendly way

What we're looking for

• A current driver's licence
• A basic understanding of fault finding and problem solving

• Domestic and real estate experience preferred

• Monday to Friday, 8-hour days, with no weekend roster
