Job summary

Bluestone Mines Tasmania Joint Venture Pty Ltd in Tasmania is seeking an experienced Fixed Plant Fitter with a minimum of three years’ post-trade experience to join our operations.

You will undertake unsupervised maintenance, installation, fault finding and repairs on surface and underground plant and equipment, on a 7 days on, 7 days off roster.

This role supports daily maintenance across mining activities, with a strong safety focus and teamwork across site.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Engineering Mechanical Trade (Fitter) required.
• Experience in heavy industry and fixed plant maintenance within mining.
• Minimum three years’ post-trade experience on mine sites.
• Strong safety focus; capable of working unsupervised during breakdowns.

Responsibilities

• Maintain surface and underground plant and equipment.
• Undertake unsupervised maintenance, fault finding and repairs.
• Support daily maintenance of mining operations on a 7/7 roster.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure safe, reliable plant performance.
