Job summary
New Acland Coal Mine near Toowoomba is seeking experienced Mobile Maintenance Diesel Fitters to join our permanent, full-time team on a 7/7 day/night rotating roster, reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor. You will perform mechanical repairs on CAT, Hitachi and Letourneau equipment, with preventative maintenance, in-pit fault finding, and component changes, ensuring safety and site procedures.
Ideal candidates will hold Diesel Fitting Trade Qualifications, coal mining experience, coal board
Qualifications
- Diesel Fitting Trade Qualifications.
- Proven heavy mobile earthmoving equipment experience in a production mining environment.
- Current coal board medical and Standard 11 Induction (Or willing to obtain).
- Experience with Caterpillar, Hitachi and Letourneau machines preferable.
- Queensland driver’s licence (manual).
- Experience with computer-based maintenance systems (desirable).
Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical repairs and maintenance activities on a wide range of Caterpillar, Hitachi & Letourneau heavy earthmoving machinery
- Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing
- Conduct in-pit breakdowns repairs and fault finding
- Complete machine rebuilds and component change outs across the mining fleet
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with site procedures and safety requirements
