Job summary

Australia's Leading Home Care Agency – Redlynch QLD is seeking a calm, engaging Educator to support a preschooler and a school-aged child. This 3-day-per-week role centres on planning age-appropriate activities, taking the children on local adventures, and creating opportunities for play, learning and everyday life skills.

• Must have WWCC, Police Check, CPR and HLTAID012 First Aid.

Responsibilities

• Plan age-appropriate activities for both children.
• Head out on local community adventures and create opportunities for play, learning and everyday life skills.
• Adapt plans to support neurodiverse children and maintain calm, positive redirection when emotions run high.

3 days per week with children aged 9 years, 7 years & 3 years
Rate: $41.94 - $53.24 (L1-L5) per hour including Tax and Super (costs associated with Insurance & Workcover are taken care of by the Employer, who will also process your Tax and Super payments on your behalf)

This family would like:

We are looking for a calm, fun and engaging Educator to support a lovely family with the care of their two children, a preschooler and a school-aged child.
This role would suit someone who enjoys creating meaningful connections with children of different ages and can provide a great mix of fun, structure, flexibility, and understanding.
You will spend your time planning age-appropriate activities for both children, heading out on fun adventures in the local community and creating opportunities for play, learning, and everyday life skills.
There are no school drop-offs or pick-ups required, however you will need a reliable car to get out and about for activities and outings.
The family is looking for an Educator who has experience supporting neurodiverse children and behaviours and understands that sometimes the plan needs to change.
You will be confident recognising when emotions are becoming heightened, calmly shifting the focus, and helping the children regulate and re-engage without turning the moment into a battle.
This is a lovely opportunity for an Educator who knows that a great day does not always need to go exactly to plan.
Someone who can bring the fun, stay calm when things get a little wobbly, and adapt their approach to meet each child where they are.

DRIVING REQUIRED

You must:

• Either be working towards or hold a Cert III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or other IHC relevant ACECQA approved qualifications e.g. Bachelor Primary Education and are registered with relevant state authority board.
• Provide at least 3 references.
• Have WWCC, Police Check, CPR and HLTAID012 First Aid
• Have a car & driver's licence
• Be willing to commit for at least 12 months
• Full working rights in Australia. (A range of visas may be considered depending on conditions and length of remaining stay - for example: visa 190 or visa 186. Applicants with 417 & 462 visas need not apply.)
