Job summary

Melbourne's Leading Nanny Agency – Nebo QLD is seeking a reliable educator to support a family with three children, including home schooling support. You will collaborate with the mum to plan age-appropriate activities and read the room to adjust daily plans.

The ideal candidate holds a relevant childcare qualification, has references, and possesses WWCC, Police Check, CPR, and Level 2 First Aid. Driving is required and a minimum 12-month commitment is expected.

Qualifications

• Must have or be working towards a Cert III in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent ACECQA approved qualification.
• Provide at least 3 references.
• Must have Woolworths Working with Children Check (WWCC), Police Check, CPR and Level 2 First Aid.
• Must have a car and a valid driver’s licence.
• Be willing to commit for at least 12 months and have full working rights in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Support younger children with age-appropriate activities and schooling as directed.
• Read the room, adapt activities on the fly and go with the flow.
• Collaborate with mum on home schooling for the eldest child while supervising younger two.
• Plan and set up daily activities tailored to the children’s needs.

Rate: $37.84 - $42.65 (L1-L3) per hour including Tax and Super (costs associated with Insurance & Workcover are taken care of by the Employer, who will also process your Tax and Super payments on your behalf)
3 days per week with children aged 8 years, 3 years & 7 months

Flex with days - Educators choice of any 3 days
Flex with times - if either of us have appointments etc and need to change hours or days sometimes that is fine. Also, when my husband is away for work, days/times may vary

This family would like: Do you have skills and knowledge of working with neuro diverse children? If yes then this is a lovely role for you. Working in conjunction with mum as she does home schooling with the eldest as you support the younger two in age-appropriate activities. The perfect educator will have the skills to set up for a day’s activities but be able to read the room, adjust and go with the flow.

DRIVING REQUIRED

You must:

• Either be working towards or hold a Cert III in Early Childhood Education and Care or other IHC relevant ACECQA approved qualifications e.g. Bachelor Primary Education and are registered with relevant state authority board.
• Provide at least 3 references.
• Have WWCC, Police Check, CPR and Level 2 First Aid
• Have a car & driver's licence
• Be willing to commit for at least 12 months
• Full working rights in Australia. (A range of visas may be considered depending on conditions and length of remaining stay - for example: visa 190 or visa 186.
