Powerband Electrical is hiring 2nd or 3rd year mechanical plumbers to join our growing Victoria team. We specialise in smart electrification and energy‑efficient upgrades for residential and commercial clients, promoting a fresh, modern workplace culture with work‑life balance and opportunities for professional growth.

Experience with air conditioning installations is highly regarded, and we’re happy to train motivated candidates pursuing a long‑term HVAC career.

Qualifications

• Currently completing an apprenticeship
• Experience installing split system and ducted air conditioning systems highly regarded
• Experience with VRF/VRV systems and ventilation installs highly regarded
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Ability to work well independently and in a team
• Current Driver’s Licence (or working towards)
• Construction White Card
• Reliable smartphone for job management, reporting, and communication

Responsibilities

• Install and commission split system and ducted air conditioning systems
• Complete HVAC installations within structured two-day project timeframes
• Carry out refrigerant pipework, ducting, and mechanical fit-off
• Work alongside electrical and solar teams on integrated electrification projects
• Upgrade or install ventilation systems and associated mechanical services
• Ensure all installations meet safety regulations, compliance standards, and manufacturer guidelines
• Maintain high-quality workmanship and excellent customer experience on every job

Pay Rates

• Apprentices: $25 – $30 per hour (depending on experience and year level)
