BM Heating and Cooling in Reservoir, VIC, is seeking a motivated 2nd–4th year Mechanical Plumbing Apprentice for a full-time, on-site role. You will support installation, maintenance and repair across residential and commercial projects while advancing practical skills in heating and cooling systems.

2rd,3rd or 4th year Mechanical Plumbing Apprentice

BM Heating and Cooling is seeking a motivated 2nd, 3rd or 4th year Mechanical Plumbing Apprentice to join our growing team in Reservoir, VIC. This is a full-time position that offers you the opportunity to complete your apprenticeship with a well-established heating and cooling. As you progress through the final years of your apprenticeship, you will develop advanced practical skills and gain valuable experience working on a diverse range of plumbing and mechanical heating projects. This role is essential to our operations, allowing you to transition from learning fundamentals to mastering complex installations and maintenance work that directly impacts our customers' comfort and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Assisting in the installation, maintenance and repair of plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures and fittings
• Working on heating and cooling systems, with a focus on mechanical components and their integration
• Using hand and power tools safely and effectively to complete plumbing tasks
• Performing diagnostic work to identify issues with existing plumbing and heating systems
• Supporting senior plumbers and engineers in the completion of commercial and residential projects
• Maintaining work sites in a safe and tidy manner, adhering to health and safety regulations

What we're looking for

• Current enrolment in a recognised Mechanical Plumbing apprenticeship programme, completed to 2,nd 3rd or 4th year level
• Strong practical skills and a solid understanding of heating and cooling systems theory
• Proficiency in using standard plumbing tools and equipment safely
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication abilities and the capacity to work effectively within a team
• A commitment to health and safety practices on site
• Reliability, punctuality and a professional approach to work
• A valid driver's licence is preferred
• Previous experience in plumbing or heating installations is advantageous
