Job summary

Clarks Northland in Preston, VIC is seeking a 2IC / Retail Sales Assistant to support the Store Manager and lead the team. You will deliver exceptional customer service and confidently recommend products to meet customer needs while driving sales and KPIs in a fast-paced retail environment.

You will coach colleagues, assist with visual merchandising, stock management and premium store presentation, and help open/close the store, contributing to a positive, results-driven culture.

Qualifications

• Previous retail or customer service experience.
• Leadership or 2IC experience is valued.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Reliable, organised and proactive.

Responsibilities

• Delivering exceptional customer service and confidently recommending products to suit customer needs.
• Driving individual and store sales targets and KPIs.
• Supporting the Store Manager with daily store operations.
• Leading and motivating the team when the Store Manager is not present.
• Assisting with visual merchandising and maintaining premium store presentation.
• Supporting stock management, replenishment and operational tasks.
• Helping coach team members to improve their sales and product knowledge.
• Building strong customer relationships and supporting our customer loyalty initiatives.
• Opening and closing the store when required.
• Contributing to a positive, accountable and results-driven team culture.
