Job summary

LifeFul is seeking experienced Disability Support Workers to provide 24/7 high‑care support for a quadriplegic client in Berwick. The role emphasizes person‑centered care, with a nursing/medical background advantage and opportunities for paid training.

You will perform personal care, manage medications, support activities, and follow complex care protocols within a home setting with a calm, inclusive team. Flexible shifts and ongoing training are offered.

Qualifications

• Cert 3 in Disability/Aged Care/Individual Support as a minimum.
• Strong manual handling experience (hoist transfers, showering, toileting).
• Excellent spoken and written English skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care (feeding, toileting, hoist transfers).
• Support client’s interests and hobbies (board games, space documentaries).
• Administer medications and monitor health (epilepsy, chronic pain).
• Accompany client to community activities and appointments.
• Follow daily care routines, including epilepsy, asthma, and anxiety protocols.
• Assist with domestic duties (meal preparation, kitchen cleaning, laundry).
• COVID Safety: daily temperature checks, N95 masks, weekly RATs.
• Work with client’s pet dog in a home environment.
