Job summary

Catholic Education in the Diocese of Cairns invites applications for STEM Teachers to join our school communities from January 2027. You will inspire students in science, technology, engineering and mathematics, and model contemporary pedagogical practices in a faith-based context.

The role focuses on designing engaging STEM experiences, integrating real‑world applications and technologies, and contributing to school planning and student success.

Qualifications

  • Be registered or eligible to be registered with Queensland College of Teachers.
  • Be fully supportive of the ethos of Catholic Education.
  • Demonstrate a passion for STEM education and contemporary pedagogical practices.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver engaging STEM learning experiences that inspire curiosity and innovation.
  • Develop students’ critical thinking, collaboration and problem‑solving skills.
  • Integrate contemporary technologies and real‑world applications into teaching and learning.
  • Plan, prepare and deliver effective learning and teaching programs.

About the Role

Teachers are accountable to and under the direction of the school Principal or delegate.
