Job summary

Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO) in Melbourne administers a two-year Grid Connection Engineer Graduate Program. Graduates will rotate through four organisations—a OEM, NSP, Developer, and AEMO—starting in February 2027, gaining hands-on experience across the grid connection landscape.

We’ve created a first-of-its-kind, industry-wide graduate program designed to fast-track your career and immerse you in the most exciting challenges in energy. Over two years, you’ll rotate through four organisations - an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), a National Service Provider (NSP), a Developer, and AEMO - gaining experience across the full spectrum of grid connection engineering.

What You’ll Do

Each rotation offers different on-the-job learning experiences and you will also benefit from a central training program. Over the two-year program we expect that you will:
