Job summary

Proform Electrical Pty Ltd – Leppington NSW is seeking a motivated 1st Year Electrical Apprentice to start your career in the electrical industry. You will learn from experienced electricians while gaining hands-on experience across a broad range of electrical and infrastructure works.

Responsibilities

• Assisting electricians with day-to-day electrical works.

• Preparing tools, materials and equipment for jobs.
• Keeping vehicles, equipment and work areas clean and organised.
• Following safety procedures, SWMS and instructions from supervisors.
• Attending and completing your required TAFE training.
• Taking an active role in learning and developing your skills.

Proform Electrical is a growing Level 1 & Level 2 Accredited Service Provider (ASP) delivering end-to-end electrical infrastructure solutions across NSW — from design through to energisation.

We are ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 accredited and pride ourselves on quality, compliance, safety and doing things properly.

We are currently looking for a motivated 1st Year Electrical Apprentice to join our team and start their career in the electrical industry.

This is an opportunity to learn from experienced electricians while gaining hands‑on experience across a broad range of electrical and infrastructure works.

We’re not looking for someone who already knows everything — we’re looking for someone with the right attitude, a genuine interest in the trade and a willingness to listen, learn and give things a go.

The Role

As a 1st Year Electrical Apprentice, you will work alongside our experienced tradespeople and gradually develop the practical skills and knowledge required to become a qualified electrician.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting electricians with day‑to‑day electrical works
• Learning to safely use electrical tools and equipment
• Assisting with the installation of electrical infrastructure, cabling and equipment
• Learning to read plans, drawings and job instructions
• Preparing tools, materials and equipment for jobs
• Keeping vehicles, equipment and work areas clean and organised
• Following safety procedures, SWMS and instructions from supervisors
• Attending and completing your required TAFE training
• Taking an active role in learning and developing your skills
• Current drivers licence / provisional drivers licence
• Genuine interest in becoming an electrician and building a career in the electrical trade
• Good maths skills and results at school
• Reliable and willing to turn up on time and ready to work
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Willing to listen and follow instructions
• Comfortable asking questions when you are unsure
• Willing to give new tasks a go and learn from mistakes
• Able to work as part of a team
• Safety-conscious and willing to follow workplace procedures
• Able to provide references - from school, previous employment or work experience

Highly Regarded

• Strong results in maths or technical subjects
• Previous work experience, school‑based work placement or exposure to the electrical or construction industry
• Any previous hands‑on, mechanical or trade‑related experience
