Job summary

Q and O Plumbing in Geelong, VIC, seeks a 1st or 2nd year Apprentice Plumber for a full-time role. You will gain hands-on experience across residential and commercial plumbing while completing formal training.

As part of the team, you will assist experienced plumbers, learn pipework, fittings and connections, and develop knowledge of Victoria's plumbing codes and safety practices. A valid driver’s license is preferred and progression opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in or recently commenced a plumbing apprenticeship (1st year preferred).
• Valid apprenticeship contract or commitment to undertaking formal plumbing training.
• Strong work ethic and genuine enthusiasm for learning the plumbing trade.

Responsibilities

• Assisting experienced plumbers on job sites with installation, maintenance and repair of plumbing systems.
• Learning and applying fundamental plumbing techniques including pipework, fitting installation and system connections.
• Preparing job sites, gathering materials and tools required for plumbing work.
• Following health and safety regulations and best practices on all work sites.
• Completing assigned training modules and coursework as part of your apprenticeship programme.
• Maintaining accurate records of work completed and time spent on projects.
• Assisting with basic maintenance tasks, cleaning and organisation of tools and equipment.
• Communicating effectively with supervisors and senior tradespeople to understand project requirements.
• Developing knowledge of plumbing codes, standards and regulations relevant to Victoria.

Q and O Plumbing is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated 1st or 2nd year Apprentice Plumber to join our team in Geelong, VIC. This is a full-time position that offers an excellent opportunity to develop your plumbing skills whilst working alongside experienced professionals in a dynamic and supportive environment. As an apprentice, you will gain practical hands-on experience across a variety of plumbing projects, from residential to commercial installations, whilst completing your formal training. This role is fundamental to your development as a qualified tradesperson and will provide you with the foundation for a rewarding career in the plumbing industry.
