The Pharmaceutical Locum Company is seeking a Part-Time Pharmacist in Charge for a forward-dispensing pharmacy in Sydney’s Inner West. You will lead day-to-day operations, ensure accurate dispensing, and provide exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities include dispensing and checking prescriptions, patient counseling on medicines, administering vaccines, dispensing OTP, and managing stock while supervising interns and maintaining compliance with pharmacy standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years as Pharmacist in Charge or sole pharmacist
• Active NSW Vaccinator with CPR and First Aid certifications
• Experience delivering extended scope services (UTI, skin conditions, DAA management)
• Strong communication and patient counseling skills
• Proven leadership and intern supervision experience
• High dispensing accuracy and regulatory compliance

About The Role:

We are seeking a dedicated Part-Time Pharmacist in Charge to join a forward-dispensing pharmacy in Sydney’s Inner West. Joining a supportive and friendly team, you will focus on delivering exceptional healthcare and comprehensive advice to the local community. In this key leadership role, your daily responsibilities will include dispensing and checking prescriptions, providing patient counseling on prescription and OTC products, administering vaccinations, dispensing OTP, checking Webster packs, and managing stock ordering.

About Our Ideal Candidate:

• Proven Experience: Demonstrates a solid background as a Pharmacist in Charge (ideally 3+ years), with hands-on experience managing a store as a sole pharmacist. (High-performing candidates with less experience who possess exceptional clinical and regulatory knowledge will also be considered.)
• Active NSW Vaccinator: Holds active CPR and First Aid certifications, with proven, practical experience delivering all vaccines permitted under NSW regulations.
• Expanded Scope Proficient: Confident in delivering extended scope services, including UTI consultations, skin conditions, pill replacement, and end-to-end DAA management (processing, supervising, and checking).
• Clinical & Recommendation Skills: Confident in carrying out clinical interventions and knowledgeable in recommending evidence-based nutritional support to patients.
• Exceptional Communicator: Outgoing, approachable, and committed to patient care—ensuring clear, thorough counseling accompanies every dispensed prescription.
• Strong Leadership & Mentorship: Capable of supervising staff and running the dispensary smoothly, with specific experience supervising interns (including weekend coverage).
• Operational Accuracy & Compliance: Highly detail-oriented with high dispensing accuracy, efficient ordering skills (ethical and special orders), and an uncompromised commitment to pharmacy standards and regulations.

About The Location:

This pharmacy is in a suburb in the Inner West of Sydney, approximately 6 km from Sydney CBD. The area is accessible by car, bus, or light rail.

About The Offer:

Part-Time Roster (3 Days / Week):

• Thursday: 2:00 PM – 9:00 PM
• Friday: 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM
• Saturday: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM

Note: Full 3-day availability is preferred, but candidates available for 2 days (must include Saturday) will be considered.

Competitive Pay: Remuneration is negotiable and highly competitive based on experience, clinical capability, and proven performance delivered during a trial.
