Job summary

The City of Gold Coast is offering an Undergraduate Engineer position for final-year engineering students. Starting February 2027, you will work 16 hours per week during university terms and complete a 12-month rotational pathway across Planning, Design, Delivery, Maintenance and Operations.

You will be paired with a mentor and Rotation Leader to support your development while contributing to real projects that shape the Gold Coast infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in final year of Bachelor of Engineering at an Australian university.
• Must be able to work 16 hours per week during university terms.
• Must be able to work in person at City of Gold Coast workplaces.
• Must obtain a Construction White Card and meet WHS requirements.

Responsibilities

• Complete a 12-month rotational pathway across asset lifecycle.
• Gain experience across Planning, Design, Delivery, Maintenance and Operations.
• Work with engineering teams on real projects for the City.
• Be mentored by a dedicated Mentor and Rotation Leader throughout placements.
