Job summary

High Clarence Academy, part of The Enquire Learning Trust, is seeking a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support to a child with autism. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to contribute to the child's educational journey in a nurturing school environment.

The successful candidate will implement tailored learning opportunities and collaborate with teachers and families to promote the child's independence and wellbeing.

Working hours are 30 hours per week during term time.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children with autism.
• Patience, compassion, and adaptability.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a child with autism throughout the school day.
• Support the delivery of personalized learning programmes and interventions.
• Implement communication, sensory, and behaviour support strategies as directed.
• Encourage the child's social interaction, emotional wellbeing, and independence.
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SEND professionals, and families.
