A governmental environmental department is seeking Visitor Service Assistants for casual roles across various parks in Greater Sydney. The successful candidates will work outdoors, providing information and ensuring compliance with park rules. Strong customer service and communication skills are essential. This role involves weekends and public holidays. The position offers a competitive hourly rate and development opportunities.
Visitor Service Assistant, Clerk Grade 1/2 – multiple casual roles to 30 May 2026. Located in Sydney and working across multiple Parks within Greater Sydney Branch North or Greater Sydney Branch South. Package includes hourly rate ($41.46 to $45.08) plus employer’s superannuation contribution and applicable casual loading.
National Parks and Wildlife Service has multiple casual Visitor Service Assistants to contribute toward the conservation of the Greater Sydney National Parks and reserves. Roles are outdoors across multiple parks, based in the Greater Sydney Branch and across either:
You will greet and direct visitors, educate them on Park values, promote a positive visitor experience, and ensure compliance with Park rules. A typical day may include:
Note: These roles require availability to work across weekends, school holidays and public holidays including Christmas/New Year period.

Note: Some duties are performed outside normal operating times; staff are rostered in pairs to perform certain functions.
