Job summary

Alstom in Vienna, AUSTRIA, is seeking a VIE Project Configuration and Change Manager to oversee configuration and change management for our program. You will ensure compliance with CCM procedures, maintain control, and drive improvements across teams in an international setting.

This role is part of the VIE program with EU candidates aged 18-28 and includes a 12- to 24-month assignment with potential renewal. Fluency in English is mandatory, German is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master in Management or Technical fields.
• Project management experience is a plus.
• Fluent English mandatory; German is a plus.
• MS Office, MS Project and Power BI knowledge desirable.
• Open-minded, motivated and eager to learn.
• Able to communicate and collaborate in an international environment.
• Understanding of Configuration & Change Management is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Apply CCM process within the program/project.
• Maintain CCM control across the program/project.
• Ensure adherence to CCM procedures, templates and instructions.
• Plan, implement and drive CCM within the project and represent CCM in meetings.
• Provide compliance statements for CCM-related requirements.
• Manage Change Requests from Preparation to Implementation and Closure.
• Measure CCM performance and drive improvement actions.

Details of the Volunteers for International Experience (VIE) program:

• Assignments are open for citizens of European Union countries between 18 and 28 years, who have fulfilled the military service obligations of their countryA VIE assignment will be in a country other than that of the applicantSet up by public sector statute in France, managed by the Business France organization
• Assignment lasts from 12 to 24 months, renewable once within a cumulative limit of 24 months
• Compensation (non-taxable) linked to the cost of living index and set by Business France: 3.000,00 € per month in Austria (update 1st of October 2026)
• International social protection is extended to eligible parties 30 days of holiday per year

Purpose of the role:

• Responsible for the application of the Configuration and Change Management process within the program/project
• Keeps the program/project under Configuration and Change Management control
• Applies Configuration and Change standard procedures, instructions, templates etc. and ensures that team members do not bypass them
• Plans, implements and drives CCM process within their project or program and represents CCMin project and site meetings
• Analyses, reviews and provides the compliance statement on CCM-related requirements (customer, partner and internal)
• Ensures completeness, correctness, clarity and timeline of Change Requests in cooperation with the change requestor from Preparation to Approval to Implementation and Closure
• Measures/reports CCM process performance/maturity (Key Performance Indicators) and derivates and manages actions

Missions can evolve according to needsduring the contract.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor/Master of Management or Technical fields
• Support in project management experience is a plus
• Fluency in English is mandatory, German would be a plus
• MS Office tools, MS Project and Power BI knowledge are desirableOpen-minded, motivated and eager to learn
• Willing to communicate with othersand collaborate with various people in an international environment
• Nice to have an understanding of Configuration & Change Management
