Responsibilities
The professor will represent the subject of Microeconomics both in research and teaching. They will seek close cooperation with other units of the faculty in the areas of experimental and behavioral economics and/or applied microeconomics, the Research Center “Innsbruck Decision Sciences”, and the Research Area “EPoS” (Economy, Politics, and Society).
In teaching, the future professor is expected to cover the subject area of Microeconomics with a focus on Microeconomic Theory, Game Theory, and their applications at B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. level in the relevant programs of the Faculty of Economics and Statistics.
Personal involvement in academic administration and self-governance, as well as in the department’s and faculty’s working groups, will also be essential duties.

In accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement, professors are classified under remuneration group A1. The base salary for a full-time professorship is €6,604.30, paid 14 times per year. Depending on qualification and experience a higher salary and facilities may be negotiated with the Rector.
