The Institute of Mechatronic Design and Production at the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences at Johannes Kepler University Linz invites applications for a permanent professorship position under private law for a
Professor for Product Development and Engineering Design
to begin as soon as possible. The appointment is in accordance with Article 98 of the Austrian Universities Act. The professorship will be evaluated after a five-year period.
We are seeking an individual with extensive scientific experience in product development and engineering design. Of further importance is the consideration of multidisciplinary aspects and the collaboration with other disciplines.
The successful candidate is expected to represent and further develop the field of product development and engineering design in research and teaching. Applicants for the position must have a venia docendi (habilitation degree) or a comparable post-doctorate qualification in the academic field. A salary above the minimum amount (which is currently € 92.460,20 before taxes) as stated in the collective agreement will be voluntarily offered.
