The position includes teaching BSc/MSc courses, supervising theses, and participating in academic administration, with path to permanent professorship upon successful tenure.

Qualifications

• PhD in Economic and/or Social Sciences (Economic History).
• Proven research focus on Economic History; applications from all areas of quantitative economic history are welcome.
• Excellent command of quantitative empirical methods in economics and social sciences; econometric or data science methods are expected.
• Ability to develop and work with relevant datasets for the aforementioned research focus.
• Publications in leading journals and/or forthcoming monographs with academic publishers.
• Demonstrated active engagement with the international academic community through collaborations or conferences.

Responsibilities

• Develop an internationally oriented research profile.
• Publish in high-quality outlets and present at international conferences.
• Teach at BSc and MSc level (usually 4h/week per semester, 8h/week after tenure).
• Supervise BSc and MSc theses, and contribute to teaching portfolio development.
• Engage in research administration and prepare grant applications.
