Qualifikationen

  • Federal VET Diploma in Electronics (Electronicien CFC) or equivalent qualification.
  • Initial professional experience in electronics assembly, wiring, or laboratory environments

Aufgaben

  • Assemble and integrate electronic and electro‑mechanical components for sensor prototypes and production systems.
  • Perform manual soldering and rework of PCBs, electronic boards, connectors, cables, and fine‑pitch components.
  • Wire and cable sensors, test benches, electronic subsystems, and laboratory equipment according to schematics and technical documentation.
  • Perform functional verification, troubleshooting, and repair of electronic assemblies and sensor systems.

The Sensor Technician is a technical contributor within the Machine-Readable Features Laboratory, supporting the assembly, integration, testing, and maintenance of advanced sensor systems used for machine-readable authentication and traceability solutions.

The role covers a broad range of hands‑on technical activities including PCB assembly, soldering, wiring, electro‑mechanical integration, sensor assembly, troubleshooting, and laboratory support. Working closely with electronics engineers, software engineers, optics specialists, chemists, and scientists, the Sensor Technician contributes to the construction and validation of prototypes, demonstrators, and industrial sensor systems.

This position is well suited for a motivated electronics technician seeking to develop expertise in advanced sensing technologies within a multidisciplinary R&D and industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble and integrate electronic and electro‑mechanical components for sensor prototypes and production systems.
  • Perform manual soldering and rework of PCBs, electronic boards, connectors, cables, and fine‑pitch components.

  • Education & Experience
  • Federal VET Diploma in Electronics (Electronicien CFC) or equivalent technical qualification.
  • Initial professional experience in electronics assembly, wiring, or laboratory environments
Technical Skills
  • Strong practical skills in manual soldering of electronic components and PCB assemblies.
  • Experience with electronic assembly, pneumatic system assembly, wiring, cable harness preparation, and connector integration.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, assembly documentation, and source codes.
  • Familiarity with laboratory instruments such as multi-meters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and electronic test equipment.
  • Experience with troubleshooting electronic assemblies and identifying hardware issues.
