Join the AICARD Research Project ’Transforming Cardiac Research: Visual Exploration and AI Prediction Modeling of Real-Life, Multi-Modal Data’ as Data Manager. Work alongside leading experts at the Computational Imaging Research Lab (CIR ) and the Department of Cardiology at the Medical University of Vienna and Visualization and Data Analysis Research Group (VDA ) at University of Vienna. AICARD aims to transform cardiac research by exploring routine clinical data through advanced machine learning and visualization techniques. As part of our vibrant and interdisciplinary team, together with the also newly created positions of Ph.D. Machine Learning and of Ph.D. Visual Data Analysis you will develop methods/tools to enable more effective research, e.g., enabling medical professionals to explore and discover patterns in disease progression and to assess treatment response.

This is part of your personality:

Completed Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Data Science, Bioinformatics, Medical Informatics, or a related technical field. A Master’s degree is a plus but not a requirement

Solid knowledge in scientific computing and data engineering

Formal education or practical experience in computer science or data engineering

Strong initiative and excellent organizational skills

Passion for developing and optimizing advanced data infrastructures

Experience handling sensitive data and familiarity with relevant data protection standards (e.g. GDPR), ideally in the healthcare sector

Proficient in working with data management systems and frameworks (e.g. SQL, NoSQL databases like MongoDB or ElasticSearch)

Familiar with container technologies (e.g. Docker)

Hands-on experience with version control and collaborative development tools (e.g. Git, GitHub, GitLab)

Basic knowledge of machine learning and statistical analysis methods

Your special working style: You like to work independently and in a structured manner, you are service-oriented and you like to find solutions. You are a team player and have high social and communicative skills.
