Job Description:

We are now looking for an Engineering Team Lead responsible for overall engineering and design of project-specific Process Control System solutions within the applications engineering field, to meet the requirements of end-users and Emerson Process Management. You will lead and coach the Austrian DeltaV Engineering team to foster a positive environment, providing top services and solutions in Austria. Additionally, you may personally engage in DeltaV engineering and support activities, acting as Control Systems Lead Engineer on assigned projects, focusing on design and engineering.

Responsibilities:
As Engineering Team Leader:
  • Lead, manage, and develop the Engineering Team in Austria.
  • Develop and implement efficient engineering strategies, methods, and services to support team growth and profitability.
  • Collaborate with the Engineering Manager to ensure adequate capabilities and resources.
  • Support achievement of key metrics for productivity, safety, maturity, and management pillars.
  • Coordinate with Project Management to complete engineering activities on time and within budget.
  • Interface with internal and external clients regarding technical issues.
  • Ensure the team is trained, equipped, and developed to meet current and future needs.
  • Maintain compliance with safety and quality standards, including ISO procedures.
As Control Systems Lead Engineer:
  • Work with Project Managers to ensure timely project completion within budget.
  • Lead project teams, coordinate technical issues, and monitor performance.
  • Apply appropriate engineering techniques and tools following standards.
  • Ensure the technical correctness of software and documentation.
  • Oversee validation activities for DCS qualifications.

In summary, provide technical expertise on DeltaV, support sales demonstrations, and perform dual roles as Control Systems Lead Engineer and Engineering Team Leader.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum years of experience in control engineering projects in industries like Life Science, Chemical, Food & Beverage, Pulp & Paper.
  • Fluent in German, good in English.
  • Professional attitude, technical orientation, customer focus, teamwork, flexibility, and self-learning.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel internationally.
  • Experience with modern engineering tools and leading engineering or project teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Background in Electrical or Process Automation Engineering.
  • Knowledge of GAMP, Validation, Life Science automation, MS Office.
  • Strong knowledge of Process Automation, DCS, PLC, control strategies, commissioning, and network equipment.
