The Opportunity
The Network Management Services Directorate sits within the Road and Marine Services Division and provides an end-to-end traffic management service and control centre to optimise the effectiveness of our road network.

The Team Leader, Network Analytics is accountable to the Manager, Traffic Access and Integrity, for optimising the performance of the existing road network and for establishing operational policies related to its management and operation.

This role will lead a team of highly skilled technical professionals and provide expert advice across a broad range of areas, including access and operation of the State's transport network, network performance, transport analysis, performance metrics, road corridor management, and technical standards and guidelines.

Strong leadership and a comprehensive understanding of traffic and transport engineering are essential to effectively support the team and ensure their work aligns with both team goals and departmental objectives.

Demonstrated proficiency in traffic and transport modelling software, along with a comprehensive understanding of traffic and transport engineering - particularly in traffic management principles, systems, and traffic signal operations.

Qualifications
Degree in Engineering providing eligibility for graduate membership as a Professional Engineer of the Institution of Engineers, Australia.

Special Conditions
Prior to employment with the Department the successful candidate will be required to provide:

A National Police Check (NPC) which must be renewed every three years.

A Department for Human Services (DHS) Working with Children Check (WWCC) which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry.

Some out of hours and weekend work, along with some intra/interstate travel requiring overnight stays, may be required.
