Job summary

Mercury is seeking a focal point for environment and sustainability on our construction projects. You will manage environmental approvals, advise on risks, and support systems for effective environmental management across multiple sectors, including LEED-focused activities.

Ideal candidates hold a degree in engineering/science, with 5+ years in environmental-HSE roles and fluent English plus local project language.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, science or related discipline; Masters preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of work experience with environmental-HSE-related subjects.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken) and local project language (plus).

Responsibilities

• Manage and track compliance with environmental approvals, licences and permits for the site.
• Provide input into identification and management of environmental risks.
• Support development and management of project environmental management systems.
• Maintain comprehensive environmental records.
• Liaise with government bodies and professional organisations on environmental matters.
• Coordinate with Mercury Environmental/Sustainability Manager to ensure internal goals.
