Overview

The Opportunity: After securing a very exciting project with Rio Tinto, Civmec is currently seeking an experienced HSE Superintendent/Manager to join our Project team to work a 2/1 roster in the Pilbara. The scope of work covers most disciplines performed by Civmec within the maintenance space. The project will comprise 6 shutdowns over 12 months performing upgrades on the client\'s balance machines.

Our HSE Superintendents/Managers are responsible for supporting the project in the delivery of work activities safely and ensuring compliance with the Client, Civmec and Project HSE requirements, Code of Conduct, Standards, Procedures and relevant statutory obligations. You will also be required to provide guidance and support to a team of 5 HSE Advisors across day and night shift operations.

Responsibilities

• Drive safety performance through proactive leadership and hands-on site presence.
• Develop, implement and monitor HSE strategies aligned with corporate objectives.
• Mentor and empower supervisors and contractors to uphold HSE excellence.
• Lead incident investigations and support root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Implement, audit and conduct inspections of site specific HSE management systems.
• Compile and issue HSE based reports (incident reports, trends analysis).
• Support risk identification and management processes to ensure risk of work activities is reduced to a ALARP.
• Review and monitor subcontractors HSE management processes.

About You

• Tertiary Qualification in OHS
• Proven experience in a superintendent or senior HSE role in maintenance
• Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and standards
• A leadership style that is confident, collaborative and solutions-focused
• Ability to lead in HSE delivery
