Starlinger & Co seeks a Strategic Global Procurement professional in Weissenbach an der Triesting to lead international supplier analysis, sourcing strategy and cost optimization. You will drive multi-sourcing, negotiate with suppliers and integrate global production sites into one cohesive procurement framework.

The role requires a technical background, 10+ years in procurement, and strong German/English communication. Hybrid work with some travel supports the international scope of duties.

Qualifikationen

• A technical background at a Higher Federal Technical College level, ideally with a business qualification.
• At least 10 years procurement experience, including 5 years in an international role.
• Proven experience in global sourcing and best-cost country projects.
• German and English language skills at C1 level.

Aufgaben

• Conduct ongoing market analysis and identify new international suppliers.
• Negotiate framework agreements with suppliers and carriers; adapt Incoterms and run tenders.
• Apply dual and multi-sourcing strategies to minimise risk and achieve cost advantages.
• Integrate global production sites into the sourcing strategy and optimize supply chains.
• Establish global, standardised procurement processes and ensure implementation.
• Coordinate with technical buyers to consolidate volumes and share best practices.
• Maintain direct contact with key suppliers at their sites.

Strategic Global Procurement (m/f/d)

In a volatile market environment, you will analyse and tap into global procurement markets with a forward-looking approach, secure sustainable competitive advantages and optimise complex transport cost structures. Drawing on your experience, you will turn market dynamics into maximum success, thereby making a decisive contribution to the company´s long-term success.

That´s What Your Role Is All About

• You are responsible for ongoing market analysis, as well as the identification, qualification and integration of new international suppliers.
• Negotiating framework agreements with suppliers and carriers, adapting Incoterms and conducting targeted tenders are at the heart of your role.
• The use of dual and multi-sourcing strategies to minimise risk and achieve sustainable cost advantages is second nature to you.
• Our global production sites and their manufactured products are fully integrated into your global sourcing strategy.
• You analyse and optimise our global supply chains and good flows holistically.
• Your will establish global, standardised procurement processes an ensure they are implemented.
• You will proactively manage the networking of our technical buyers to consolidate procurement volumes and promote the exchange of best practices to avoid interface losses between product groups.
• You naturally maintain direct contact with key suppliers at their own sites.

You can utilise these skills

• You have a technical background at a Higher Federal Technical College level, ideally combined with a business qualification (e.g. industrial engineering, business administration, supply chain management)
• Your have at least 10 years relevant procurement experience, including 5 years in an international role.
• Your have proven experience in global sourcing and best-cost country projects.
• Your language skills in German and English are at least at C1 level.
• Your professional demeanour, combined with strong communication and intercultural skills, makes you a respected point of contact for our suppliers.

The basic salary for this role, as set out in the collective agreement, is approx. Euro 4.000,-- gross per month, for candidates with appropriate qualifications and professional experience, we offer overpayment in line with market rates.
