Job Description

• Own the Architecture: Take full ownership of the data platform architecture, ensuring alignment with business goals and IT strategy.
• Develop Capabilities: Systematically enhance the platform’s core capabilities to meet evolving business requirements.
• Manage Tools: Evaluate, introduce, and manage tools and technologies supporting the data platform ecosystem.
• Document Components: Ensure comprehensive documentation of all architectural components and their interconnections.
• Understand the Big Picture: Maintain a deep understanding of the overall data architecture and component integration.
• Provide Technical Guidance: Serve as the go-to expert for data platform topics, providing guidance across teams and projects.
• Represent in Projects: Advocate for architectural standards and data principles in cross-functional projects.
• Design Solutions: Ensure solution designs adhere to architectural guidelines and data governance principles.
• Collaborate Externally: Work closely with external solution architects and delivery managers to align implementation strategies.
• Support Implementation: Assist external partners in integrating and deploying solutions within the platform.
• Promote Innovation: Drive adoption of innovative technologies and best practices within the data platform domain.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field – HTL/FH/TU.
• Several years of experience in data architecture, platform engineering, or enterprise IT architecture.
• Strong knowledge of modern data platforms (e.g., Databricks), cloud architectures (Azure, AWS, GCP), and data integration patterns.
• Familiarity with data governance, data modeling, and metadata management.
• Experience with data lakes, data warehouses, ETL/ELT pipelines, and orchestration frameworks.
• Experience in leading virtual organizations or communities.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and practices.
• Fluent in German (C1) and English.

Additional Information:

Your minimum salary starts at €4,270 gross per month (14 payments per year) based on full-time employment (38.5 hours/week). Depending on your professional experience, there is potential for higher compensation.
