Job summary

BAUMANN Federn AG seeks a Product Engineer focused on contact elements and technical springs. You will own selected spring types, respond to customer inquiries, and support technical projects with Senior Engineers.

You will become a trusted technical adviser through strong engineering expertise and customer collaboration, with the potential to independently manage customer projects and contribute to APQP.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or comparable discipline.
• Advanced Mechanics knowledge and materials science (steel, heat treatment).
• Advanced Excel with VBA; Python knowledge beneficial.
• CAD experience (Creo, SolidWorks); FEA (ANSYS), metrology, statistics.

Responsibilities

• Gain expertise in spring design and calculation models (Excel/VBA) and transfer knowledge from two Senior Engineers.
• Handle customer enquiries relating to specific spring types with Project Management and Sales.
• Analyse and calculate spring designs considering mechanical, electric, thermal and dynamic loading conditions.
• Support the development and enhancement of calculation tools (Python-based).
• Carry out technical evaluations and contribute to documentation and standardisation of design processes.
