Zusammenfassung

Voith Hydro is seeking a Sourcing Manager (m|f|d) Field Service in Europe. Based in Austria, the role focuses on leading supplier selection, price and contract negotiations, and performance management for field service assembly services across EMEA.

You will develop procurement strategies for large-scale projects, manage supplier relationships, ensure HSE and quality requirements, and travel internationally up to ~10%. Fluent German and English are required.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in a technical or commercial field or equivalent qualification.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in plant engineering/large-scale projects, especially in purchasing assembly services/field service.
• Strong strategic management of assembly service providers.
• Technical understanding of complex assembly processes and plant construction.
• Experience in project and supplier management, field service and claim management.
• Proficient with MS Office and SAP, plus other purchasing tools.
• Fluent German and English, both written and spoken; additional languages are a plus.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, analytical thinking, negotiation skills and initiative.
• Willingness to travel internationally, approximately 10%.

Support the Voith Group | Group Division Hydro as a Sourcing Manager (m|f|d) Field Service. Job ID 77655 | Europe.

Responsibilities

• Lead request, offer comparison and selection of suitable assembly service providers together with Field Service.
• Lead price and contract negotiations as well as claim and addendum management and performance management.
• Control and monitor order processing (order confirmations, changes, deadline tracking, deadline assurance).
• Strategic management and further development of the "Field Service" product group in EMEA, expansion of service provider relationships and active supplier management.
• Ensure compliance with relevant tax requirements (CIS, WHT, RCT, reverse charge) in close cooperation with the tax department.
• Review and approve invoices as part of contract management.
• Continuously optimize procurement processes, identify potential savings and minimize risk.
• Support the development of purchasing strategies for large‑scale projects in an international environment.
• Engage intensively with suppliers for capacity control.
• Guarantee HSE and quality requirements for suppliers.

Qualifications

• Successfully completed a technical or commercial degree or a comparable qualification.
• At least 3–5 years of relevant professional experience in plant engineering/large‑scale project business, mandatory in the area of purchasing assembly services/field service.
• In‑depth experience in the strategic management of assembly service providers.
• Strong technical understanding of complex assembly processes and plant construction projects.
• Proven experience in project and supplier management, field service and claim management.
• Very good user knowledge of MS Office and SAP as well as other purchasing tools.
• Business fluent German and English, both written and spoken; additional language skills are an advantage.
• Strong communication skills, team orientation, analytical thinking, negotiating skills and self‑assertiveness.
• Entrepreneurial thinking and a high degree of initiative and responsibility.
• Willingness to travel internationally, especially to construction sites (approx. 10 %).
