• 4+ years of backend engineering experience building scalable, production-grade systems.
• Strong hands-on experience with Rust, plus solid working knowledge of Python.

• Familiarity with REST APIs, websockets, relational and/or NoSQL databases, and messaging systems such as Kafka or ZeroMQ.

Your mission

At Bitpanda, we’re building the trading and pricing infrastructure that powers investing across crypto, stocks, ETFs, metals, and fiat currencies. In this role, you’ll help design and scale high-performance backend systems in Rust, while using Python for tooling and services that support our broader platform ecosystem. You’ll work on low-latency, event-driven systems that enable fast, reliable, and seamless trading experiences for millions of users.
