Cloudflight is hiring in Austria for a technical leadership role focused on cloud-native software architecture and Java-based applications. You will guide teams through Scrum and TDD, shaping the tech stack and architecture while mentoring colleagues across diverse projects.

The role emphasizes hands-on coding with Java, Kotlin, Spring Boot, and Angular, plus strong cloud and container experience. Hybrid work with opportunities for personal development are offered.

Qualifikationen

• Fluency in German & English (written and spoken).
• Ability to design cloud-based software architectures for stakeholders.
• Experience estimating financial impact of architecture alternatives.

Your daily tasks will include

• leading an agile Scrum team and guiding them towards success
• working on projects using agile methodologies such as Scrum and test-driven development
• expanding your knowledge and experience by working on various exciting projects and sharing your expertise with the team
• applying your communication skills in a diverse team environment
• being the go-to person for technical questions and providing technical support to your team members
• ensuring that the project adheres to our technical quality standards, such as test-driven development
• designing sustainable state-of-the-art software solutions
• providing technical leadership to your team members and guiding them in their professional growth
• constantly developing and improving your tech-stack and architecture know-how

The following will make you succeed in this role

• proficiency in designing and communicating software architecture in cloud systems to all stakeholders
• ability to estimate the financial impact of architecture alternatives
• in-depth knowledge of analytics, object-oriented programming (OOP), design patterns, and modularization
• hands-on experience with container technologies (Kubernetes) and ideally also with Hyperscalers (Azure, AWS, Google)
• joy for coding, especially with Java/Kotlin, Spring Boot, and Angular
• familiarity with the books "Release It" and "Software Architecture for Developers"
• extensive experience in developing software applications with Java for years
• detail-oriented with an ability to keep track of the big picture
• enjoy leading development teams
• fluency in both German & English

The law stipulates that the minimum wage must be specified in job postings. The minimum salary is €62.664 gross/year in the collective agreement. Adequate to your skills, we are willing to pay much more.
