Flyability is seeking a Robotics Engineer specializing in SLAM and state estimation to advance real-time localization and mapping for inspection drones. You will develop onboard SLAM pipelines, integrate LiDAR, IMU, and camera data, and push robust performance in GPS-denied environments.

You will collaborate with perception, autonomy, and product teams, test in field conditions, and contribute to cutting-edge mapping techniques and Gaussian splatting methods.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years developing SLAM or state-estimation in real-world robotics.
• Strong robotics fundamentals: Kalman filtering, sensor fusion, feature extraction and matching, pose graph optimization, and 3D orientation representations.

Aufgaben

• Design, implementation, and optimization of real-time SLAM and state-estimation pipelines for onboard deployment.
• Development of sensor fusion algorithms combining LiDAR, IMU, and camera data.
• Evaluation and debugging of localization and mapping performance in simulation and real-world testing.
• Contributions to mapping and reconstruction pipelines used for inspection outputs.
