About the Opportunity
As part of the Infrastructure Program, the Senior Transport Engineer plays an important role in shaping how people move through and experience the City of Adelaide. The role provides expert advice on transport infrastructure and design while working with a wide range of stakeholders, including State and Australian Governments, to support safe, efficient and sustainable transport systems.
This position contributes to the delivery of city-shaping projects by leading the research, development and implementation of transport and streetscape initiatives. With a strong focus on collaboration, the role works closely with internal teams, external consultants and community groups to ensure projects reflect the needs of our community and align with the City of Adelaide's Strategic Plan.
Beyond technical expertise, the Senior Transport Engineer helps create positive transport outcomes by providing clear, people-friendly advice, managing projects from planning to delivery, and supporting consultation activities that invite community feedback. The role also mentors and develops team members, building capability to deliver innovative solutions that enhance movement and mobility across the city.
