Responsibilities include designing and optimizing complex graphical systems, creating animations and assets, writing shaders, and mentoring team members to uphold technical best practices across the production pipeline.

Qualifikationen

• Several years of professional experience as a Technical Artist in gaming or real-time 3D.
• Advanced expertise in Unity shader development and scripting is preferred.
• Strong understanding of real-time rendering, optimization, and performance constraints.
• Creative mindset with high technical ownership and problem-solving ability.
• Very good English; German is a plus.
• Proven ability to mentor others and collaborate in cross-functional teams.

We are looking for a highly experienced and passionate Senior Technical Artist (m/f/d) to join our expanding game design and development studio. The ideal candidate combines strong artistic vision with deep technical expertise and is capable of bridging the gap between creative concepts and high-performance game implementation in Unity.

Your Responsibilities

• As a Senior Technical Artist (m/f/d), you take ownership of the visual and technical quality of our games and ensure a high-end, consistent player experience across all projects.
• Moreover, you design, implement, and optimize complex graphical systems and game assets with a strong focus on performance, scalability, and visual fidelity.
• In addition, you translate creative and design concepts into robust technical solutions and help define and improve the architecture of visual game systems in Unity.
• You create and oversee animations, 3D models, simulations, and prototypes, integrating them using custom shaders, tools, and scripting where required.
• Last but not least, you mentor and support team members, review implementations, document workflows, and ensure technical best practices across the entire production pipeline.

Your profile

• Several years of professional experience as a Technical Artist, ideally in the gaming or real-time 3D industry
• Advanced expertise in Photoshop, After Effects, and Spine; strong proficiency in Unity (including shader development and scripting preferred)
• Strong understanding of real-time rendering, optimization techniques, and game performance constraints
• Creative mindset combined with a high level of technical ownership and problem-solving ability
• Very good English skills (spoken and written); German is a plus
• Proven ability to mentor others and collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams
