Job summary

Anton Paar in Graz, Austria, seeks an IT Operations Engineer to own and improve our VMware, storage, and backup infrastructure, and to manage the lifecycle of physical servers.

You will analyze incidents, plan migrations, and automate recurring operational tasks, collaborating with networking and security teams to maintain high availability and disaster recovery capabilities. This is a full-time role based in Graz with a structured onboarding and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Completed education in Information Technology or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience operating complex datacenter and server infrastructures.
• Strong expertise in VMware/vSphere; experience with VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) is highly desirable.
• Experience with enterprise storage and backup solutions.
• Solid knowledge of physical server platforms and Linux administration.
• Excellent understanding of high availability, disaster recovery, and backup/restore concepts.
• Self-motivated and structured working style, with a willingness to take technical ownership and share knowledge within the team.

Responsibilities

Job Description
