Zusammenfassung

netcup is seeking a Senior System Engineer in Vienna/Graz/Klagenfurt or remote to drive the evolution of our storage platforms. You will justify technical decisions and share knowledge to help colleagues grow professionally.

You will plan and develop enterprise storage infrastructure, optimize performance, and lead migrations and upgrades. Strong NetApp experience and automation skills are essential. Remote work is supported.

Qualifikationen

• Several years of experience in operation, design and lifecycle management of enterprise storage solutions.
• In-depth know-how in the NetApp ecosystem (ONTAP, NAS/SAN, SnapMirror, MetroCluster) and storage protocols such as NFS, SMB/CIFS and iSCSI.
• Solid knowledge of Linux-based environments, virtualization platforms and modern data center infrastructures.
• Understanding of high availability, replication, backup/recovery concepts and disaster recovery.
• Experience in automation, e.g. with Ansible, Python, Bash or comparable tools.
• Knowledge of Ceph, S3-compatible object storage or ZFS-based platforms is an advantage.

Aufgaben

• Plan, design and further develop our enterprise storage infrastructure (architecture decisions, operating standards) and manage operation, engineering and lifecycle of NetApp environments.
• Analyze and optimize performance, capacity, availability and data security.
• Execute migrations, upgrades and storage-related infrastructure projects.
• Support with complex incidents, root-cause analyses and problem management.
• Standardize and automate recurring operational processes; advance monitoring, alerting and observability.
• Assess existing storage workloads and evaluate Ceph, S3-compatible object storage or ZFS-based platforms.
