Gramian Consultancy is seeking a Senior Space Avionics Systems Architect to lead the design and technical definition of spacecraft avionics architectures, focusing on on-board computers, payload interfaces, and high-speed networks.

You will define system decomposition, enable robust FDIR and safe-mode concepts, and document architecture baselines while coordinating across hardware, software, RF, and mechanical teams.

Qualifikationen

• Master's degree or equivalent in Aerospace Engineering or Electrical/Electronics Engineering.
• 10+ years of spacecraft avionics or complex embedded hardware experience.
• Experience architecting distributed systems with processors, FPGAs/SoCs, and high-speed interfaces.
• Proficiency with ECSS standards PUS and ECSS-E-ST-70.
• Familiarity with onboard computer systems, payload interfaces, and high-speed networking.

Aufgaben

• Lead end-to-end spacecraft avionics architecture definition.
• Define system decomposition and interface strategy across on-board computers and payloads.
• Architect high-speed networking payloads, backplanes, and system boot/recovery concepts.
• Design robust Failure Detection, Isolation, and Recovery strategies, including safe-mode behavior and watchdog concepts.
• Document and maintain the technical baseline with architecture diagrams and justifications.
• Perform analyses related to radiation tolerance, EMI/EMC, signal integrity, and power distribution.
• Collaborate with networking, GNC, RF, software, FPGA, and mechanical teams.
• Support technical decision-making across architecture trade-offs and system constraints.
