Sentry is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Telemetry Experience team in Vienna. You will own the agent tracing surface—from back-end Python/Django to frontend React/TypeScript—building dashboards, APIs, and workflows that make agent runs easy to inspect and debug.

You will ship end-to-end, drive cross-team collaboration, and design data-heavy interfaces with fast queries. The role blends performance, cost visibility, and open-source sensibilities in a space still being defined.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of professional experience building and shipping full-stack web applications.
• Strong experience with React and TypeScript, and with Python (Django or similar) backed by a relational database such as PostgreSQL.
• A track record of driving non-trivial projects end to end, including cross-team collaboration.
• Comfort designing data-heavy interfaces with large, messy data.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication.
• Experience leveraging AI-powered development tools to boost productivity.
• Based in Vienna area or willing to relocate; familiarity with agent/LLM tech is a plus.
• Experience in monitoring/observability or OpenTelemetry, and with large-scale analytical stores (ClickHouse or similar).
• Experience building developer-facing products, SDKs, or public APIs; open-source contributions.
• Salary note: minimum wage reference in IT-KV applies; salary above that in practice.

Aufgaben

• Own projects end to end from scoping to rollout and measurement.
• Build the views developers use to debug agents, with multi-agent workflows and cost breakdowns.
• Make data underneath fast and queryable and design robust APIs.
• Detect the failures worth flagging and provide actionable insights.
• Reduce friction for getting started across stacks and setups.
• Collaborate daily with product, design, SDK engineers, and other engineers.
