Jobgether in Austria is seeking a Staff Security Operations Engineer to strengthen security operations across a globally distributed environment. You will design, implement, and evolve security controls, incident response, threat intel, and risk management within an agile engineering context.

You will contribute to threat intelligence initiatives, share security expertise, and help drive measurable improvements in security resilience across critical infrastructure and open-source ecosystems.

Qualifikationen

• Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, STEM, or equivalent professional background.
• Strong interest in cybersecurity and security technology.
• Experience with threat modelling and established risk management frameworks.
• Knowledge of security architecture and modern security tools.
• Experience consuming and contributing to threat intelligence feeds to inform defense.

Aufgaben

• Implement and evolve security operations standards, playbooks, and practices across the organization.
• Analyze and improve security architecture to strengthen infrastructure and development processes.
• Evaluate, deploy, and improve security tools, technologies, and operational practices.
• Identify, investigate, contain, and support remediation of security threats and cyber attacks.
• Apply threat modelling and risk management to identify vulnerabilities and prioritize controls.
• Lead or contribute to tabletop exercises and other security operations activities.
• Develop security operations learning materials to strengthen capabilities.
• Monitor and report security operations KPIs for continuous improvement.
• Contribute to open-source threat intelligence initiatives and share knowledge with the community.
• Develop thought leadership through talks, papers, blogs, and industry events.
• Partner with security leadership to communicate risks and drive improvements.
• Plan and execute security operations initiatives within an agile environment.
